Terms of use

Unofficial platform. Draft To Run is a private, unofficial community project. It is not affiliated with the City of Kingston, Ulster County, any Board of Elections, any candidate, or any political party. An “endorsement” on Draft To Run is an expression of community support on this platform only — not a vote, ballot, petition signature, or campaign contribution.

Who may participate. You must verify with your own phone number or email. One voter record per person. Creating multiple records, using someone else’s contact, automating endorsements, or buying/selling endorsements or badges is prohibited and grounds for removal of the affected records.

Content you submit. Nominations must describe, truthfully and from your own knowledge, where you have seen the nominee serve the community. No partisan content, attacks, or impersonation. Nominations and statements are moderated; flagged content may be held, edited for rule violations, or removed. You remain responsible for what you submit.

Nominees’ rights. Being nominated creates no obligation to run for anything. A nominee may claim their page (subject to verification and admin approval) or opt out at any time, which hides the profile immediately. Claimed statements must follow the same non-partisan rules.

Leaderboards and badges. Counts, rankings, milestones, and badges are informational and provided “as is”; they confer no prize, money, or official standing. We may correct counts when abuse or duplicates are found (including merging duplicate nominee profiles).

Availability. The service is provided as-is without warranties. We may change features or these terms; material changes will be posted on this page. These terms are governed by New York law.
